Sarah grew up with abuse and neglect. It caused her to develop an anxiety disorder as a child. After standing up against her mistreatment, she sought help from the Youth Wellness Centre (YWC). The YWC helped her find an apartment, provided her with emergency funding, and made sure she got the mental health care she needed. Sarah is now doing well, receiving successful therapy and serving on the Youth Council, advocating for mental health services and accessibility in the city.
