The Youth Wellness Centre partners with two Hamilton based programs to offer comprehensive mental health and addictions services to our young people- Alternatives for Youth, as well as the Young Adult Substance Use Program.

Young Adult Substance Use Program
Concurrent Disorders Program at St. Joe’s
One of the outpatient mental health services offered through St Joseph’s Hospital is the Young Adult Substance Use Program (YA-SUP). This is a program for young adults aged 17-25 who are looking to make changes to their substance use, and are committed to attending group-based treatment. This program also offers services to Loved Ones ie. the parents and other supporters of young adults.
YA-SUP is located at the St Joe’s West 5th Campus.

Alternatives for Youth
FOR YOUTH AGES 13-25
The building that houses the Youth Wellness Center is also home to Alternatives for Youth (AY), a community-based substance use service for youth and anyone the young person considers to be family. AY is a space that respects client choices and rights, and aims to involve their circle of care, when appropriate.
AY is located at 38 James Street South, 2nd floor.
